There's this short spot of time, when you're still groggy right after waking up when the world is perfect. Those few fleeting seconds right before you remember your last thoughts before you fell asleep, the thoughts that caused you to want to sleep so deeply in the first place, are so innocent and lovely.
I just want to live perpetually rolling over to the sound of little kids screaming trick-or-treat and banging the shit out of my door while I wipe the drool off the side of my face forever.
Or something.

Posted by Courtney's Phone at 10:48 AM | Comments (0)Ugh, so I hate doctors.
I just hate talking to people who ask me questions about this and that and then poke and prod (and not to mention cause me to get a $1300 MRI that my insurance only covers half of when it's for migraines I've been having since I was 6. ARGH!) but it looks like I finally have to break down and get one.
I'm currently on day 16 of a sore throat and it feels like it has wandered all the way up into my right ear canal, which kinda sucks because I don't exactly hear perfectly out of that ear and I have a a headset attached to it for 8 hours a day. So now I must trudge through United Health Care's website to find a doctor that's near me and will see me and hopefully not take up much of the 8 hours of time off I have left for the year. Oh well, hopefully I can find a doctor as wreckless as my last one who will give me another prescription for 90 muscle relaxers on the first visit. Besides, there's that whole needing allergy medicine and birth control thing that I need to take care of soon.
And did I mention I'll only see female doctors? I saw one male doctor once, back at the good ole indian hospital when I got chicken pox when I was around 8. That was the first time I ever took my shirt off when a guy asked. See what he's caused?
Just dear god, don't let her have a cold stethoscope.

Posted by Courtney at 12:25 AMYou'd think at some point in time I'd learn from repeating the same stupid mistake over and over.
Posted by Courtney at 07:07 PMKeaton's gone until this weekend.
I'm watching Drawn Together.
I took muscle relaxers.
I need a hug :(

I really must take a stand. Sam N Ella's is the best pizza. Ever.
Posted by Courtney at 10:32 PM | Comments (3)Real entry soon.
Maybe.
It's been a long couple of weeks. I've only spent 2 full days at work since 10/12, and now that I'm finally back and settled, it's time for Keaton to go out of town for the week to help open his company's new stores in Wichita and Hutchison. I've spent the past couple of weeks with some of the best friends I've ever had, and now I'm facing some serious alone time.
Someone, keep me busy, or I might have to invite myself over to Eric's again.
I do have to add though, sometimes I'm amazed at how not shitty the pictures are that I can take with my phone.
<3.

Posted by Courtney's Phone at 05:16 PMLet me tell you, that's the last fucking time I'm touching the bum wine.
My laying low busyness has been momentarily interrupted by some sort of crazy Fazedbola that I contracted this weekend.
I used and abused my unlimited Sprint Picture Mail this weekend and only took pictures with my phone, mainly due to lazyness.
So for the 3 of you that don't know me from Fazed and look at this site, you really need to take a look at my pictures from Fazed.KC.2005.
And once you're through with that, you should probably look at everything tagged Fazed Party. Mine will be mixed in with those, but we got 382 pictures pooled right now from the event.
I'm really very disappointed we didn't make the Flickr Hot Tags from this weekend list.
Also, Kaitie's scavenger hunt videos, plus my videos from my phone can be found here.
Other than that, I really don't have anything else to say on the matter other than each and every person stole a little piece of me and took it home with them, especially those guys from Georgia.
Now, can someone please explain the 3" bruise on the inside of my right thigh?
Posted by Courtney at 08:57 AM | Comments (0)I'm stressed.
I'm sad.
I'm broke(n).
I'm busy.
I'm angry.
I'm sleepy.
I'm traveling.
I'm crying.
I'm worried.
I'm lonely.
I'm disappointed.
I'm cold.
I'm bored.
And I'm dancing around to Helena by My Chemical Romance.
I'm gone, for at least the next week and a half.
Long ago
Just like the hearse, you die to get in again
We are so far from you
Burning on, just like a match you strike to incinerate
The lives of everyone you know
And what’s the worst you take (worst you take)
From every heart you break (heart you break)
And like a blade you stain (blade you stain)
Well, I've been holding on tonight
What’s the worst that I could say?
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long and goodnight
Came a time
When every star fall
Brought you to tears again
We are the very hurt you sold
And what’s the worst you take (worst you take)
From every heart you break (heart you break)
And like the blade you stain (blade you stain)
Well, I've been holding on tonight
What’s the worst that I could say?
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long and goodnight
Well, if you carry on this way
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long and goodnight
Can you hear me
Are you near me
Can we pretend
To leave and then
We'll meet again, when both our cars collide
What’s the worst that I could say?
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long and goodnight
Well, if you carry out this way
Things are better if i stay
So long and goodnight
So long and goodnight
In reference to : Jason's photoblog picture.
Me: Apparently Frambozen is in season again.
Keaton: Yeah, it's about that time.
Me: Apparently jello shots are also in season.
Keaton: Jello shots are always in season.
Me: But it appears to be a bountiful time.
Keaton: That's a damn good harvest.
Oh, sweet precious juice of life.
Posted by Courtney at 10:51 PM | Comments (0)Edward is probably the most awesome friend I have simply because he writes me notes about ninjas fighting pirates while we're at work. He misses me because they recently moved him a good 10ft and 2 cube walls away. No more origami shuriken fights. <3.
The text actually says Someday soon the pirate (w/ Polly) will be taking on the ninja in a no holds barred PPV free for all. TO THE DEATH! don't miss it
There's a million and one things I want to write right now, but it's all boring, self absorbed or secret.
However, Friday night I went out with some people after work which somehow ended up with me going into the Barnes & Noble at Town Center semi drunk asking for an application. I'll fill that out and return it sometime this week.
Everyone go listen to the new Mercedes-Benz Mixed Tape right now. Better yet, go download it. It's free and legal. I'll recommend Digital Midgets - We Have Always Been, Track 11. Don't go in expecting to know of any of the artists or songs available to download.
Other than that, the Fazed party is this coming weekend. I'm really not looking forward to it as of yet. I'm not sure if I'll get enough fun out of it to justify the amount of money I'm going to be paying for it. But, hopefully all the people I haven't met yet will suprise me. And the money for the hotel room is worth it to have my own bathroom. And honestly, I'm glad it's a different crowd this year; another year of miniskirts and lifted shirts would have done me in. Luckily, it doesn't look like I'll be needed for anything so I can work all day on Thursday and save some of my vacation time. It'll be interesting to say the least.
JoLynn. You. Me. Sushi. Kona. Don't forget.
I do know that I am worried about my reaction to two of my close friends who have started a relationship. They're both people I'm separated from most of the time, and who have meant a lot to me. I don't see them very often, and I take every chance possible to spend as much time with them as I can. It will be a little odd with both of them coming here, and it being to see each other. I'll also be spending all next weekend with them to go to Cincinnati for Andy's wedding. I can see some annoyances popping up due to being in close quarters with a couple that has only spent time with each other a couple times and doesn't get to see each other often. I love them both to death, but it's just the nature of the situation.
Well...I went ahead and wrote the boring and self absorbed part. As for the secret, I'm sorry.
Just go look at the boring 12 or so pics I took last week.
Also, Voodoo Lounge opens this month out at Harrah's. There's been a lot of talk about it on Syde-Sho and it just keeps getting more hype. The lineup so far is looking awesome from all angles. G. Love & Special Sauce followed up immediately with Bad Boy Bill, all with decent ticket prices? They've got the right idea. Look out for Shinedown there on 11/4 and Josh Wink there 11/12. Hype.
Just please, for the love of God, someone come with me to see DJ Portia Surreal. 11/19. If you don't know who she is, then just google her, just be prepared to see her at the decks completely topless. She likes to be known as the "Erotic Fetish Burlesque DJ" which should say it all. Hedonistic and hot; we all need a little more of it in our lives.
Now, I've got some laundry to do and a B&N app to fill out. <3
Posted by Courtney at 11:00 PM | Comments (2)See, I understand all the hits from tony's kansas city, but why am I getting all these hits from Total Fark?
Thanks to my wonderful Bryan, I got the lowdown on being total farked.

So, maybe binge drinking wasn't the best idea.
So, maybe binge drinking was an okay idea, maybe it was the dancing and playing twister while binge drinking that brought in the bad part.
Cause, whoa. My knee fucking hurts.
I blame the buttershots (and not the glass of gin I downed prior).
Posted by Courtney at 10:17 PM | Comments (0)So, I pulled an Adam with my knife at the Nordstrom Cafe on Friday night. Also, btw, if you didn't know there was a cafe in Nordstrom you are missing out. By far the best salmon caesar I've had since I used to do lunch at La Villa in Philbrook Museum.

Last night was JoLynn's birthday party at Jason's. It was a great night with a lot of great people. Our two newest locals, Steve and John showed up and it was definitely a great time with them, and the various other new people hanging around. Apparently I did the splits on a twister mat, or at least my knee is screaming such today. There was some crazyness on all parts. Some dancing and turning of Jason's shirts inside out on my part, and just a whole lotta fun.
Something awesome happened in the middle of the night. I got a text message from one of my best friends from high school, Bryan DeBaets. Apparently, he'd been thinking about me lately due to some necessary marketing. This, coupled with the fact that he googled his name and found my 100 things where I said I regretted not trying to date him and this post from early summer, forced him to call. It was amazing to hear from him again. We spent a good 30 minutes on the phone catching up before I needed to get back into the party. It was by far the best sitting in a parked car while it rains heavily conversation I've ever had.
I really miss that guy. I've had such a hard time lately debating (heh) on if I should call him or not. I was so afraid so much had changed, too much really. It was like, back then, we both knew what we wanted out of life. And while the paths weren't the same, they were similar and defined and very musical. And as he talked of recording 6 tracks in January, and a coffeehouse gig in San Louis Obispo, I realized things have changed, and there's really no dream for him to chase. He's at a point now where he just needs more people to notice the dream he's already obtaining. I am no longer regretful of my fall off, but damn if I'm not proud as fucking hell of my boy.
Here are the pictures I've taken from this past week.
And oh yeah, that image over there of the cleavage <--
Boobiethon 2005. Go donate, or stare at some boobies. I donated AC and DC for their cause.
And also, I immediately demand that Adam throw in at least one Goldfrapp song on his party playlists. I mean hell, he could do the Benassi remix of Strict Machine for all I care, but I'm suprised that Ooh La La hasn't popped up in there yet (or the Benassi remix of that one!).
