Obligatory MySpace Post

Yes, I have given in and become one of the masses with a quasi-addiction to MySpace. I wouldn't really call it so much a place for friends, as it is a place for me to see all the people I never really talked much to in high school and to find all my old party kids from OKC.

I really like the calendar feature on it though, and how I can easily keep up to date on my favorite bands.

I think MySpace is going to help change the face of music accessibility, and I approve of that aspect, however it also is going to encourage the brainstorm bands that are out there. The "let's pick a genre, practice together and record 3 or 4 tracks and put them online and then go try to play a show or two" that really have been making a takeover of music.

However, I refuse to do any of those damn bulletins, or surveys, or flashy animated gifs that seem to cover everyone else's MySpace page.

There's got to be a little class left in me.

I'll eventually link it on the side when I'm ready to rebuild all the static pages on the site, but until then, if you want to add me, I'm obviously:

myspace.com/attnwhore

I've also found myself in possession of the Fazed MySpace group after a thread on Fazed found people wary of joining one labeled for fazed.net when no one had heard of the creator or other members.

Now, if you'll excuse me I've got some more Tylenol Allergy to take and an afternoon nap to finish.

Good to know you've joined the darkside that is MySpace. I, like everyone else I know, am pretty darn addicted. I think it's a pretty great little concept, though. By the way, how did you get your calendar to publish on your profile? That's a cool feature that I can't seem to get to work.
