The Minus the Bear Plan

Somehow, I've got to talk Bryan into the "plan."

So, I'm obsessed with this band, Minus the Bear. After a few years of loving them and listening to them, I finally got to see them back in September with Nieda at the Granada in Lawrence.

I didn't listen to any of their songs for about a month afterwards due to the fact that concert was so awesome and so perfect, I didn't want to ruin any memories of it.

I fell in love that night on the sticky, dark floor. They were amazing musicians and I was never wanting it to end. Then it did. Then I was sad.

Which brings me to "the plan." I've once again planned a lovely little birthday trip to Austin, TX to visit Bryan for our birthdays. It just so happens that SXSW falls during this time. I'm planning to arrive the 16th of March and leave the 19th.

Well, on the 16th Minus the Bear will be playing a SXSW showcase at Emo's. Then on the 17th they're playing at White Rabbit in San Antonio. Then on the 18th they'll be at Emo's again for the Alternative Press SXSW Party.

The plan. To see if I can see Minus the Bear at all 3 occasions. Why?

Because they'll be at the Granada in Lawrence on the 22nd and it would be really awesome to see them 4 times in a week span.

I've gotta have something to prove that awesome prevails over emo after all.
