Crawl on me...spin sugar sugar

Being the poor busy people that we are, Keaton and I spent our Thanksgiving have a good dinner with The Nieda at Mimi's. It was lovely and calm and quiet and much more my speed than a loud long family holiday. As he was for Christmas last year, Jason is always a stupendous person around which to spend a holiday. I highly recommend you try it sometime if you get a chance.

I spent the day mostly sleeping in and fazing and overall waiting for my moment of opulence, but such is every day.

Last night I got to try out Johnny Carino's in Olathe and had a wonderful dish called Timballo which proved delicious enough to make 3 meals out of when it became breakfast and lunch today. By the way, did I mention I was able to fit into my size 8 Banana Republic jeans for this? Amazing.

Tonight was going to be a movie night, but my good friends with whom the plans were with called around 8 tonight saying that they were pregnant and would be spending the night celebrating. Yay for Jon and Megan.

So without a plan for the night, I made a quick trip to Target to get eye makeup remover and new blush and picked up the 40th Anniversary Edition of The Sound of Music. I feel sorry for Travis, our next door neighbor, who will have to hear the brunt of me singing The Lonely Goatherd along with the DVD roundabout 2am.

Other than that, I've got a redesign that I'm working on. Quentin was a sweetheart as always, and made me a little graphic for it. Although I'm still unsure of using due to it's risquéness. Also, I want to steal one of Mr. Zack Hall's pictures for the redesign, as it would be cool to me if I saw Home every time I opened my site.

Until then, the only thing I really am looking forward to at the moment is the Death Cab for Cutie show on the 16th.

And just for you Mr. Richard Godbee, the lyrics to Death Cab for Cutie's Sound of Settling, complete with typed out "BAH BAAAAAAAAH" parts. Just click on.

I've got a hunger
Twisting my stomach into knots
That my tongue was tied off

My brain's repeating
"if you've got an impulse let it out"
But they never make it past my mouth.

Baa bah, this is the sound of settling
Baa bah, baa bah
[x2]

Our youth is fleeting
Old age is just around the bend
And i can't wait to go grey

And i'll sit and wonder
Of every love that could've been
If i'd only thought of something charming to say.

Baa bah, this is the sound of settling
Baa bah, baa bah
[x4]

I've got a hunger twisting my stomach into knots.
