Okay kids, here's the deal.
For the first time in my life everything is perfect, everything is set, and everyone's lives are in motion. The more things change, the more right it all feels.
And I'm totally in love with Tulsa, but, it's just time to move on to something else. Keaton and I have worked and lived together and created something together, something that works and affords us to be comfortable and strong. We're both at a different but equal place in our lives that has the same kinds of changes.
Most of my friends are atleast an hour away in college, many of them are looking toward marriage or atleast something different. The rest of my friends? Well, they're all at a more settled place in life somewhere far away from me.
Keaton's friends are moving away for jobs after getting degrees, they're getting married and having kids, and then there's Travis. Travis is the best guy a girl could ever hope to be friends with, especially when he's already her boyfriend's best friend, but in a few short months Travis will be joining the Air Force to get his own life out there. Travis was a big part of us being here.
Essentially, aside from Greg and Bryan, we have nothing left for us in Tulsa to make us want to stay permanently. Keaton's family is here, and mine is an hour away. It just feels right. It's time for us to make our change, and make our own separate life together and to live without a net.
We're young and capable. We're confident in who we are, what we can do and the friends we have. And in Kansas City, the friends we have there are some of the best.
This move isn't for sure at all yet, and so many of the plans we've talked about together involve Tulsa, and there's a very large possibility someday we'll be back. But for now, we're trying to put everything in place to see if we can do it.
This weekend I check out an apartment, the only apartment we can move into due to our current lease. Keaton's already got his employment somewhat straightened out. Now, we have to be able to get into the apartment and then get me a job and then it's set.
We want to be there by July. Let's hope we get this apartment. There's nothing left to life but to just live.
Well, I only have one thing to say, and that's good luck with everything you do. I hope everything turns out the way you intend it to.
